After recruitment for a new GP in the local community failed to receive any applications, our CAUK fundraiser Michelle Nineham got together with her local community to launch a campaign to search for a replacement for the soon-to-retire local doctor.
Over 500 residents of small Cornish town – a long way from the nearest hospital – took part in the appeal and raising awareness of the critical issue of GP shortages across the country.
We are very proud of Michelle for the success of this campaign, and thank her for shining a light on an issue that we know affects many people across our cavernoma community.
