My journey with Spinal Cavernoma by Kay Garner

Kay is 29, and she has a Cavernoma at T2 in her spinal cord. The cavernoma caused C7 complete paralysis when it haemorrhaged at the age of 26.

Kay is a wonderful member of CAUK and always the first to offer help and support to other members. She is one of the bravest, kindest and most positive people you could meet, we are so pleased that this webinar gave her the opportunity to talk about her journey and the challenges she has faced. Kay talks about how her life changed when she became paralysed and the trials she faced with her immediate care, physiotherapy and recovery in a regional spinal unit. As well as the difficulties of returning to and the accepting of her “new normal”. She talks about her future plans and the fantastic support she has had throughout the years.
