The CARE Study: An update
The Cavernomas A Randomised Effectiveness (CARE) study is well under way and steadily gaining momentum. There are now 18 sites actively recruiting participants across the UK and Ireland, with 3 more sites to open soon.
We are delighted to report that the team at Kings College Hospital London has recently recruited its first two participants for the trial, with one patient randomised for ‘active treatment’ and the other randomised for ‘conservative management’
In equally exciting news, the team at Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield have recruited their sixth participant!
Recruitment is now 45% complete – and the teams across the UK and Ireland are working hard to achieve the goal of recruiting a total of 60 participants.
