Valentines Fundraisers in support of £8000 for 80 years campaign

As we announced last week on our website and on Facebook our wonderful science advisor and all-round key player at CAUK, David White CBE, is turning 80 years old! Unselfishly David wants to raise £8000 for CAUK over the next few months in honour of this special occasion rather than receiving actual birthday presents to celebrate this milestone and we are asking the wonderful CAUK family to help reach this ambitious target.

Our first  fundraising event will be held over the Valentines weekend.

We all know this year we cannot celebrate Valentines as we do normally with meals out in restaurants and other special trips so we thought we would bring a COVID-19 friendly weekend to you. All we ask is for a small donation to the £8000 for 80 years campaign when you join in.

Virtual Romance Quiz - Sunday 14th Feb, 4pm

Why not come along to our interactive Virtual Romance Quiz being held over Zoom at 4pm on Sunday 14th February.

We ask for a donation to the £8000 for 80 years campaign of £5 per couple, or £3 for individuals. You can register by contacting events@cavernoma.org.uk

We will send out the webinar link to join in the quiz shortly before Valentines weekend. There will be small prizes for each of the best three couples or singles and no googling or using the internet to help with the answers will be allowed.

If any members have friends and family who are interested in these events then please ask them to make contact with the CAUK team by emailing events@cavernoma.org.uk and the opportunity to come along and join can be discussed.

Also, just to remind you all that the fundraising page is open for general donations and can be found at

This is only the beginning we have more exciting activities planned for all ages and members of CAUK and your families and friends so don’t forget to keep checking our news articles and look out for our Facebook posts so that we can reach £8000 of donations in David’s honour.
