Dear CAUK Members,
As we approach the end of the year, I’d like to thank you all for your support and take the opportunity to reflect on the last 12 months at CAUK.
As a result of the COVID pandemic, 2021 has been another year of uncertainty and we’ve seen a large increase in demand for our services at a time when funding for charities is most difficult to secure.
At CAUK we have been able to continue to deliver a high level of care and support for those affected by cavernoma, and to meet the increased demand for our services. There is lots to be positive about for CAUK as the year draws to a close.
Our free support services are thriving, we’ve been able to provide 1:1 support for those who’ve needed it as well as provide more free therapy sessions than ever before.
We’ve coordinated a variety of educational and professional webinars, continued to develop our peer-to-peer support scheme, fostered our community groups and set up a dedicated advocacy group for young people.
Our efforts are overwhelmingly financed by grants from large organisations and by fundraising activities. I would like to thank each and every one of you who has fundraised for, donated to, or supported our fundraising activities this year.
As we expand our services and grow our reach, it is proving a challenge for our small team to raise the funds we seek to continue to further develop our support for members through grants.
So in order for us to be able to continue to provide our free services we have a range of Festive Fundraising, including our new scheme, a CAUK Gift Donation or we have our monthly donate scheme should you wish to help.
On behalf of myself, the CAUK Board of Trustees, our Staff and Volunteers, we’d all like to wish you a Happy Holiday Season.

CEO of Cavernoma Alliance UK
